I began my journey that has lead to private practice beginning in 1999. With a bachelors and masters degree in social work, and two years of clinical work; history has lead to a great passion for intergenerational work with adults.
Together we shall explore goals, build objectives and achievable outcomes based on comfort level within the therapeutic process and willingness to work to fulfill your life's dreams, together. Or perhaps just get through a difficult circumstance that is happening in life right now. You do not have to do it alone. No matter where you come from, what you believe in, we all have the ability to grow in healthier ways.
As a therapist using humanistic, cognitive behavioral, client centered, integrative approaches to life and death, I am authentic, honest and compassionate for the purpose of understanding, learning, and healing. What I love most about this work is empowering clients to find strength in uncertain circumstances. I enjoy offering education and support to help others understand how maladaptive approaches can become habit while using gained perspectives can shift ability to cope with lifes unexpected challenges. My ideal client is you! The individual who is seeking professional services in efforts to combat mental barriers that are preventing you from building a better life for yourself. Specialties include: Agism, changing physical health issues for individuals and/or caregivers, anxiety, depression, as well as end of life processing. I have training in adaptive coping skills, work experience in the aging process and life transitions. Together we can develop a treatment plan that focuses on your goals in what ever chapter of life you may be in.
It may take us a bit to build trust and figure out what your true goals are as we un-layer and unbury the dynamics of your life that has contributed to the current situation of concern.
